Beekeeping Experience Session 4th May 2024

Ever wondered what happens in a hive? Join us for a taster session where you will get to experience what it's like to be a beekeeper. See the girls at work in the hive, learn to identify the different types of bees in the hive and how the hive operates. The practical session will be followed by a honey tasting session. All safety equipment provided. Just bring yourself anf your wellies! This promises to be a fun and informative session. (not suitable for people with bee allergies).

 

THE NEXT SESSION WILL RUN ON 4th May 2024 10:30-12:30

 

On the day - please wear long sleeves and jeans along with wellington boots, we will provide the protective bee suit and gloves. Bees are very sensitive to smell so it is advisable not to wear strong perfumes, aftershave, deodorants etc. In the unfortunate event that the weather is detrimental to opening the hives we will re-schedule the session.

DISCLAIMER by booking this activity we assume you are fit and well with no known bee sting allergy. If you have a bee sting allergy you will not be able to attend the session.

You will be briefed and given safety instructions before the session.

You must listen to the beekeeper at all times and follow instructions. We reserve the right to terminate the session immediately if we feel that participants are not following instructions.

Strictly no alcohol or non-prescription drugs are to be consumed before or during the session.

All protective equipment provided for you including head veils must be worn for the duration of the session.

All borrowed equipment must remain on-site and returned to the designated area after use. The equipment remains the property of Tadley Honey Bees.

All participants must understand that bees are wild insects and their behaviour cannot be guaranteed. Whilst all efforts are made to safeguard our delegates from such dangers, accidents and injuries can happen. In agreeing to take part in this activity, you are acknowledging these dangers and agree to take part at your own discretion.

Tadley Honey Bees is not liable for damage or loss to persons or property however incurred.

All existing injuries or health issues that may be affected by you taking part in this activity must be reported to Tadley Honey Bees before taking part.

The management will not accept any liability howsoever caused for death, personal injury, loss, or damage suffered by participants.
